Just got a vinyl copy of Wild Mood Swings for under $150. The pressing is shiat however and sounds like garbage. I wonder if all copies are like that or if I just need to upgrade my record player to something super top shelf.
Change you Stylus mfk..it saves you money and gives new life to your records. What type of system are you running?

oh that's the next step purchase that I'm running out of records to horde... er... "collect."
I'm just running an off the shelf Pioneer component that while not being cheapo garbage, it's certainly not top of the line.
I anticipate that a lot of my albums will sound a lot better once i pony up for a real deal cartridge.

I had a nice chat with a turntable dealer last weekend and he explain to me their and outs of record grooves, stylus variation and such> very exciting to me by the way. Anyway, I have the DJ technics SL-D2 turntable and he recommended the Shure M44-7 for my needs. I order it last weekend and I'm just waiting for it to arrive, in the meantime I'm left to listening to my old tapes..😄
