I am fascinated by fans who follow MASSIVELY the band during a very large number of dates on a tour. I'd like to hear numbers ! Do some of you went to a whole european leg or american one of a tour ? How many dates etc... Do you know people who reached 100 shows or more ? I'd love to hear them !
I can't wait the next tour ;-)
Rennes 1996/ Nîmes 1998/ Paris 2000 x2/ Carhaix 2002/ London 2002/ Brussels 2002/ Hamburg 2002/ Berlin 2002/ Aix les bains 2004/ Six fours 2004/ Werchter 2004/ St Malo 2005/Paris 2008/ Paris 2016/ Hyde Park 2018/ Malahide Castle 2019/ Saint-Cloud 2019/ Lyon 2022/ Montpellier 2022/ Toulouse 2022/ Bordeaux 2022/ Nantes 2022/ Strasbourg 2022/ Lievin 2022/ Paris 2022/ London 2022 x3…
I don't really do that. I did do 6 shows on the 4Tour, 4 in Europe & then the 2 last nights in New York & 3 of the Reflections shows (Australia & London) but other then that I don't go mad & tavel for half a year solid. I do, however see people at shows that I've met before at other shows. Always good to bump into a familiar face & listen to their tales of what shows they've made it to.
I've seen The Cure 20 times in my life. From 1984-2016. I would certainly go to more but I can really only go see them in nyc or Philadelphia unless I fly and that gets expensive..other wise I would have gone to more shows.
òla ! just started at the swing tour with only one show in 96. but with every tour I went to more. in 2016 I did 14 shows through Europe. at the end of the tour I was a bit disappointed after I realized that I still was physically able to attend more. at the beginning I thought that those 14 dates will kill my feets and I'll be be tired ... I wasn't ! ... but the tour was over with 3 nights at Wembley. I fear that we have to jump on the festival train next year aarrghhhh

My first Cure show was in Dresden 1990. Like pillowman I went to more shows with every tour. Personal record was in 2016 with a total of 12 shows, 4 shows in the US (including the amazing show in El Paso) and 8 shows in Europe. On this tour I followed a crazy guy on periscope (forgot his name). Not sure but I think he went to all shows on the US leg in 2016 and some shows in Australia. One of my personal highlights was in 2013, when I flew to South America and went to the shows in Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires & Santiago de Chile. A crazy trip I always like to remember.
Hyde Park 2 weeks ago was my 49th show. Hope the 50th will not a Festival show.
steve I was also at the shows in New York in 2008. On the second night they played a very nice set. I remember when Robert left the stage during Freakshow or Close To Me and climbed somewhere
bloodflowers78 aaaand of course I didn't answer your question. haha 5 on the Wish tour 5 on the Summer Cure 2016 tour. 2 1989 Prayer tour all others 1.

The most I have ever done was 3 dates on the Wish tour. I have friends who follow The Mission to every gig though.
Yaaaay! can't beat a bit of bad taste..I've not seen the Mission since I was a kid but I remember some great gigs way back then...they were a fine live band
I saw them (The Cure) twice in Birmingham one night in 1989. Once for about five minutes just before I got kicked out and then again thirty minutes later for two hours when they let me back in : )
I saw them five or six times at the Crystal Palace gig but that could have been the recreationals
Did all three nights of the Madison Square Garden shows in 2016 and 2 out of the 3 NYC Reflections dates. As far as multiple shows for a tour, that's it.
I am hoping to travel to some shows outside NYC the next time they come around...
A friend of mine saw almost every show of the dream tour in Europe and lots of shows in the USA. On the US leg he was a lot of times of the guest list. Wow!
