I love art of all kinds although I am not a painter I have great appreciation for those that do and the classics from the past. Basically if you have a painting or a piece of art that moves you post it here and turn this thread into a gallery. I will start with Van Gogh Skeleton Smoking A Cigarette a friend of mine in 94 went to Amsterdam to the Van Gogh museum and brought this litho back for me I have cherished it ever since. I framed it and it hangs above my computer long before they did that in the movie The Social Network. I can't wait to see what you guys post.

Claude Monet is very hard to appreciate from photographs, but seeing one of his works right in front of you is mind-blowing and intense. His paintings don't transfer well in photos kind of like The Rolling Stones on video is not the same as seeing them live. This one blew me away.
< My avatar is some detail of an Ian Gibson commission hanging on my wall at home. My other half secretly got in touch with him a few years ago and he painted my xmas present. Probably the best gift I've ever received.
It's Halo Jones btw, one of my all time favourites
My good long time friend, Peter Max Jakobsen, was so generous to let me borrow this amazing carved in wood artwork today. I feel so honoured, that he lets me have it in my home for a while. I’m so in love with it - and the Robert Smith painting compliments it so well

I have bought a couple of new pieces. The black one is ceramic, and it is a calf with human hands and feet. It is made by a danish artist called Therese Marstal. I bought it at a censored exhibition. An exhibition where artists send in a piece, and established artists pick out works to be shown at the exhibition. The little demon baby is made by Ronit Baranga, an israeli artist. It’s a little girl, and I call her Lilith. I bought her at a local gallery. I have followed Ronit Baranga on Instagram for serveral years, and been obsessed with her demon babies for years.

That baby is rad! I hope it doesn’t wake up every two hours to be fed blood. I really like her other work, which I looked up thanks to your post. You did good!

I couldn't live in a house with that little devil baby statue! Horror! Deranged mind... I may enjoy some dark stuff, but this is far beyond my liking. There's a difference between liking something and creating it to make a message and displaying it in a gallery or somewhere, but owning this, no thanks. I'm not into Slipknot and other Alien Sex Friend.
