In an ideal world there should not be a problem, but the trains in the UK are........ not the most reliable. If you're travelling during the day, then there should be alternative trains to get you where you're going (I assume Victoria). Just make sure you have plenty of time on the way back to Gatwick. If your train is cancelled, don't panic. Keep the tickets & you can arrange a refund within 28 days. Chances are your trains will be okay, but always best to have a plan B
I don’t really care much about the transfer from gatwick to London, because it’s tomorrow, and I therefore have plenty og time to reach Hyde Park hahaha
But I have a flight to catch the other way home on sunday...and I have to take the transfer all by myself - I KNOW i will get lost!!!
OMG I’m stressing about sunday 😨
I flew Philly to Heathrow and Heathrow to Philadelphia by myself. It's a breeze. The people in the airport are always willing to help. You'll be fine ninja

Thank you for comforting me! You are very sweet!
I just really hate the transfers from the airport/trainstation and other main departure places. I’m cool with the travelling itself. I love airports - I know that is a little strange. I’m sure I will be fine and do fine - and I actualle got a ride from London to Gatwick on sunday! I VERY happy about that!
I’m really looking forward to meet all of you - the biggest cyberdating in history! Hahaha
Pitiful Southern's latest update says it should be cleared by 2.30pm, but I imagine the trains will be delayed fairly significantly for the rest of the day. I sound like an advert for National Express, but their availability looks pretty good at the moment (it's always my plan B when the trains fail). Worth getting a ticket to guarantee a seat: www.nationalexpress.com/en

Now they're saying the Gatwick > London train disruption will likely continue until at least 7am on Friday. Currently the odd train is running with major delays and overcrowding, as most are being cancelled.
Just to be clear, this is a separate issue to the 'planned' disruption over Saturday 7th/Sunday 8th.

Apparently the trains are running again now although delayed. Should be back to ‘normal’ by 10am (until the weekend engineering works kick in).
For anyone arriving at Gatwick on Saturday morning wishing to avoid train trouble, PM me for a seat in the complimentary Cure Cab 🚕. I also have a couple of seats free on the return journey on Sunday morning.
