‘Berlin Black’, the high-powered post punk/new wave outfit hailing from the Leeds/York area are taking live audiences by storm.
Leaving a debris of glitter, sequins and captivating hooks at every show, this gang of four have a scintillating musical style which blends genres and dares not to submit.
Previously characterised as The Cure meets Simple Minds via Bauhaus and the Sex Pistols; Berlin Black have matured in developing their own unique brand of ‘electrifying groove charged post-punk with subtle dark undertones’. Their style well and truly stands them apart from others in the alternative scene and brings with it a bracing, dynamic and compelling energy which is sure to charm and seduce.
A very tight and solid musical unit, fronted by lead singer Chris Tuke (ex SBA/Luxury Stranger) – often described as a cross between Mick Jagger and Pete Murphy -
makes for a very entertaining and watchable show which will have you dancing through till the early hours.
With their debut full length album due in 2013, along with many imminent UK and European dates booked, this is one band you need to check out…its time to burn this dancefloor down.
