i just read in the liner notes of the "Disintegration deluxe edition" that this show was an emotional one. Any particular reason to be mentioned ? do you know ?

do you mean Roma 1989?
That was emotional because there was a football fan killed just before the show so the mood in the city was already weird.
Then there was the Tianenmen Square massacre news that prompted Robert to do THAT version of Faith

No problem. I had to scrabble for the sleeve notes to make sure.
When I saw them in Rome on the 4Tour I met up with some people who had been to that 89 show & they told me about the football fan. I didn't know that until then.
It's a fairly standard Prayer Tour show, but Faith is completely mind blowing.

I have heard this story of a Roman football fan who has died around this era but didn't realize it was the same day.

There are few articles on the net about this guy (if you can read italian). It seems it was a young 18 year-old AS Roma fan who was ambushed just before a match against AC Milan in San Siro.
