Given our superior but perhaps slightly left of center musical tastes as a fan base, I am willing to wager we've got some pretty creative people here who like to "do their own thing", as it were.
So that begs the question: what do you do for fun that might be considered a little weird?
Each spring, I take pictures of baby birds that have died from natural causes. Some of them get pretty gnarly because they are then run over by one of the millions of strollers here, or stepped on, partially devoured, etc. Here is one of the less gruesome pictures, in case anyone is sensitive:
One other thing I like to do is lift inappropriately heavy weights. I really like trying to best men (sorry!) in the weight room. For a fairly skinny woman, I do OK. I can currently squat and dead lift 1.16 times my body weight. My goal is to hit 20% more than my body weight. I swear I don't take steroids.
@ninja, I love the idea of watching surgery videos. I wouldn't say I do it as a hobby, but it's really amazing. I had to do a cadaver lab once for school and that was really cool, too. I'm glad we didn't have to see the cadaver's face, though.
Your tortoise's name is the best. Especially for a creature that's an herbivore...
Hmm I follow the Thanatos Archive (post mortem photos from the 1800s) Not sure that would be considered a "hobby" more like an interest. I like dark art as well. One of my favorite pieces.

If You are into art, You should check out some of my favorite danish artists:
Kurt Trampedach (His art is really dark and amazing)
Michael Kvium (His art is grotesque and shows the dark side of being a human - he is my all time favorite artist)
Julie Nord (She draws! Everyday pictures with twists)

That piece reminds me a bit of Kaonoshi from Spirited Away. Save
The Thanatos Archive looks like something to get lost in for hours. I like the fact they charge for membership. People are less likely to take it for granted that way, I think.
