I wasn't overly impressed given the promise the first two delivered. Ropey dialogue. McGregor almost regressing back to TPM Obi-Wan. & the lamest light sabre fight I think I have ever seen. Story development was okay I suppose. But the execution was lacking for me

C'mon man, he hasn't fought with a lightsaber for 10 years! He's gonna be rusty. He maybe even closed himself off from The Force, like a certain Luke Skywalker did in his waning years. Add to that the fear and shock of seeing what Lil' Ani has turned into!
Remember that the life support suit really restricts Vader's movements, so he's not gonna be a whirling, twirling, flipping and jumping bean!
To be honest, I always thought that Obi-Wan was a pretty terrible Jedi! Not someone to be revered like "The great Obi-Wan Kenobi"..
What I thought was poor story-telling was Vader just standing there blocked by the firewall.. I mean, the guy can bring down an AT-AT (in Rebels) using just The Force, so why couldn't he wrap himself in a protective Force bubble and walk thru the fire, or levitate himself over the fire and grab Obi by the short and curlies?? I know, for story, so OWK could be rescued, but CMON!

Think they were going for a Myers or Vorhees vibe for Vader - he should be terrifying without needing his sabre.
Obi looked pretty terrified!
That line "I have become what you made me" or whatever it was, was SO predictable hahah, but still.. Crispy has a point.
So in the media they have been saying "the lightsaber battle to end all lightsaber battles is coming" so I guess Obi is gonna school Lil' Ani so the line in Ep IV of Ani being the apprentice, now being the master" will make some contextual sense.

I did note a few plot points or script lines that were a bit naff.
1. Tala said they’d been compromised. They hadn’t. In fact the place had been cleared, so they could have stayed and nobody would be any wiser.
2. How did Riva get to the end of the tunnels SO quickly?
3. Why did Lil’ Ani not just a) put out the seemingly impassable fire, 2) levitate himself over the fire, iii) use the force to grab Obi or IV) use the force to create a fireproof bubble and walk right thru?
I’ll tell you why, to move the plot along.

Finally caught up on all three episodes. Enjoying it more than Book of Boba Fett. When this was announced I thought we were going to get cool adventures in the Judland Wastes, but when I saw the trailer and realized they were taking Obi-Wan off planet, I was concerned about how they could justify that given his oath to watch over Luke. Well, Leia being kidnapped was the justification I didn't know I needed. Really enjoying their interactions, that's what's carrying this show for me so far.
dialogue has never been the strong suit of the SW franchise...
Whilst I agree with this based on historical evidence, you'd think that with the plethora of people out there who can write strong scripts, some improvements in this space would be made consistently.

It was a much better episode for sure. I'm quite impressed that there's no abundance of cute droids in the series. Slightly curious though as to how Ben was bone dry when he finally got into the inquisitor's HQ thingy. Oh the old "I put a tracker on their ship ploy.".......... er....How? When?
