Greetings from a large, rat-infested city on the eastern seaboard of the United States!
I have been a fan of The Cure since my older sister included Close to Me on a mix tape she sent me from college when I was 14 and a freshman in h.s. It's been 29 years. First saw them in DC in 1992 and many times since. My devotion to The Cure since first listen has been unwavering, only matched by the relatively recent devotion to my son and husband. :0
Careers I've had since I was 17: welder, construction worker, dancer, paralegal, special education teacher, corporate whore VP at a large bank. Now I have the best job in the world, but I'm not telling.
While I have lived in this city for 14 years with no conceivable escape before retirement, I miss nature and would love to live in a place where I didn't feel divorced from it. I also like science, the human body in all its glory from the miraculous to the repulsive, really tall shoes / boots, beer, knitting, art, large dogs, literature, and dance.
