Basic hello and intro. Posted a while ago but didn't follow up. Hand on heart, my first love is soul, funk and reggae but you know what they say 'only 2 types of music, good and bad'. I'm not into any type of (hate to pigeon hole) goth, poss Siouxsie and the Banshees but The Cure are a bit spesh. Any other cross over fans. Good they kicked arse in the Goth World Cup on 6 music, to be fair i'd put the Cult down as rock.
hi. welcome. i like me some soul, r&b & reggae too. mostly older stuff although occasionally something new comes along that grabs my interest. i'm the same way about country music. i'm basically a rocker (think replacements, drive-by truckers) with a big dash of cure/nine inch nails type stuff but try not to limit myself with genres.

Welcome,
For me, I like all types, even old country(Patsy cline- Johnny Cash) if its within reach. It all depends on how I'm feeling day to day. Sometimes I reach for good old blues: muddy waters, John Lee Hooker, Howling wolf, Etta James. Need a rage hit, I reach for Nine INCH Nails or listen to my daughters favorite music type when she is in the car (Giji Allin). If the song is catchy I listen to it, like Despacito or Location. Give me reggae any time but I almost always reach for my good old favorite.. The Cure

I like all types of music except rap and country. I despise rap music the most though to me it's garbage. But I have very eclectic taste in music. I'm 53 so I've been exposed to many different types of music and I agree a song is either good or bad. It doesn't matter what genre it is. Probably the only rap song I like is rapture by Blondie. Can we even consider that rap though? Haha
