A wonderful summary from emilystrange & we're onto GW11
Winter is coming & the yellow balls are out.....oooer.
With an injured Kane, Spurs had to improvise with their attack & decided that Sissoko would be a better choice than Llorente because….well, no-one’s quite sure really. But Untidy produced an attacking display (at times) & once substitute Martial netted the winner, JoMo’s troops subtly moved into an 8-2-0 formation for the remainder of the game.
Over to the Emirates & an early Swansea goal put the pressure on the Gunners, but Kola & Rambo stepped up in the 2nd half to give Arsenal their 3rd win on the trot.
Palace were sporting enough to give West Ham a head start at Selhurst & Zaha was able to rescue the point in the 97th minute.
Besties, Klopp & Wagner faced off at Anfield & the Kop breathed a collective sigh of relief as Lovren injured himself during the warm up. With Milner on the pitch, many wondered why Salad was allowed to take the missed penalty, but 3 2nd half goals put the game to bed & Liverpool climb to 6th.
Watford hosted the Potters who took an early lead & held it. Not even Deeney picking a fight with Allen could rescue the match. Still, at least he’ll have 3 games out to think about his little outburst.
Injured Bendy Mendy had to watch an illegal live stream of West Brom’s fightback against Citeh. But it was a smidge too late with the Cityzens winning 2-3 & holding on to the top spot & Saturday wound up with Hazard being the difference in Chelski’s game against a very organised Bournemouth side which will make Antonio (that’s bullshiat) Conte a bit happier.
Sunday started beside the seaside as Southampton visited the Amex stadium & it didn’t take them long to take the lead. However, ex-Palace striker, Murray equalised with a header that somehow beat 11 foot tall keeper Forster.
“Under New Management” was the theme of the Leicester Vs Everton & 2 first half goals handed the Foxes all 3 points as Everton stay in the bottom 3. But it would be remiss of me not to give a mention to the mad poppy person who was obviously tired of the “where should you wear your poppy?” debate.
& so to Monday night at Turf Moor.where the ginger Mourinho celebrated his 5th year at Burnley with a win over in-form Newcastle.
& with that, it’s time for an update on the Game Of Goths
The week was taken by the EIB with a 13 point advantage on the BB&S who maintain a healthy overall lead with 5394 points.
The Yellow Jersey stays put this week as gongoro73 sits on top & the Big Shout Out went to Gothic Rangers & their 64 point haul.
In the H2H, a 7 point difference gave the BB&S the win to close in within 3 points of overall leaders the IGM.
The Crown returned to familiar surroundings as Nikolas Vitus Lagartija ’s Damage Dunfermline re-acquire the shiny hat.
So, ahead of GW11, we are moving the shed closer to the solar panels as we fire up the heating for the winter. catsncheese did suggest we just get longer cables, but it did mean we’d have to run them across the penalty area, or at best through the net.
But all that said, we have a GW to deal with before a.......yeah you guessed, an international break (yay).
So welcome to the Stadium of Faith for this week's adventures.
