hey you all,
not been on here for a while and missing last years concert live threads like crazy already! it's the season... so lots of nostalgia and great memories in my head, treasuring those perfect moments of last year's tour. having spent so much time on here with such lovely people, able to even meet some for real on some concerts! finally being in wembley felt like my cure fandom coming full circle...
today marks the day where it all started 30 years ago, my first cure concert. i was looking for some kissing tour threads or posts on here and could not find any. if so, steve, please move this to the appropiate place

otherwise, i thought there might be quite a few who went to some kissing tour gigs and want to share some pics or memorabilia from this time? 30 years, oh, my... feeling old yet feeling that giddiness and excitement like yesterday!
i was almost 15 when i saw them that first time in cologne, sporthalle. the venue does not exist anymore, and lanxess arena or whatever the name now is a poor replacement.
the place was packed and security had to install an additional barrier at the front before the gig could begin. there is an eyemou video where you can hear the announcement to that. i managed to get to the second row on the left, just in front of porl. a huge metal rocker behind me put one of his arms left, the other right side of me on the barrier and saved me from being squashed. felt like fainting at times due to the bad air and pushes from the back, but at no point wanted to leave. felt like such a lucky girl to finally be there!
sadly i have no t-shirt or tour program from that night, still on pocket money, so just pages of diary entries before and after the gig, the ticket and a post card i bought at the venue.
the next day i then fell in my first true and very long post cure gig depression. probably lasted til i saw them again in 1989... a tough time for a teenage girl stuck in a small town. anyway, thought i'd share the stuff i still have and maybe some will do so too... happy 30th anniversary kissing tour 💋
