BottleRock 2014 comes to mind, they pulled the plug in the middle why can't I be you, so Robert mimed the words as the crowd still sang. Not exactly a weird show but very memorable end.
A very kind friend gave me his 'Later with Jools Holland' tickets for the 2004 TV show recording when they played. I was beyond excited.
In the end, the TV recording-aspect of it really dampened the whole thing down, from my point of view - re-takes and whatnot. I think massive venues, ideally outdoors with lights bouncing through the trees and epic-length versions of 'A Forest' work much better!
