What is the weirdest Cure show you’ve heard ? By weird i mean, mood, different setlist vs the current tour, incident etc… For me : - Conrad Hotel 2000 - Lyon 1998 - Bataclan 1996
Also for the interest of us younger fans, please can you elaborate on why? I'm intrigued.
The only weird one I've attended was Manchester last year... Cut short and overall mood didn't feel great. I didn't enjoy the venue or the city either. The best thing was bumping into wilgy on the train the next day!

oh just because when you have (like me) dozens and dozens of recordings, that's fun and interesting to hear some unusal ones and try to be mentally "there"
Rennes 1996/ Nîmes 1998/ Paris 2000 x2/ Carhaix 2002/ London 2002/ Brussels 2002/ Hamburg 2002/ Berlin 2002/ Aix les bains 2004/ Six fours 2004/ Werchter 2004/ St Malo 2005/Paris 2008/ Paris 2016/ Hyde Park 2018/ Malahide Castle 2019/ Saint-Cloud 2019/ Lyon 2022/ Montpellier 2022/ Toulouse 2022/ Bordeaux 2022/ Nantes 2022/ Strasbourg 2022/ Lievin 2022/ Paris 2022/ London 2022 x3…
When they tried Lullaby extended mix out of the blue in France in 1989 was pretty strange... also playing until dawn in Sweden a few years back. 2012? Legendary.
Oddest one I've seen was the Godlike Genius / Big Gig in 2009 - a one-off show with a main set that was half 4:13 dream mixed with one song from each album in a bizarre order.
Wasn't there one in the states last year? Can't remember where. They just played a hits set or something.
Sasquatch Festival. Bad weather, extremely late start. Short set to meager audience as a large number of them were at the EDM stage. Sound from there was bleeding over to mainstage. I didn't go but had multiple reports. Really dislike festivals.

bloody hell, it must've been bad, if that was your highlight!

Ah that explains it, I'm the same, I hate festivals never been to one and never want to go to one.

But a good festival can be amazing! If only there were more good festivals...
I've been lucky. I've never attended a bad show but I've only been to twenty. The 1996 Treviso Italy show where Robert is puking on stage couldn't have been fun. Although they did play numb live. A rare occurrence.
