So awhile ago I posted on slightly happy that my co-workers are actually on top of customer service week this year. (October!). This is the first year that everyone is excited and participating and not leaving me to do all of the work. (no exaggeration).
In that same post, I think I mentioned the theme, Around the World.
Since this is an international group, I figured that you guys might have some ideas for games, food, drinks, etc.
We usually have a treat a day, a game a day, prizes and a "lunch" at the end of the week.
Instead of a lunch, I am planning on a breakfast at the beginning of the week that includes things like, English muffins, French toast, Swedish Pancakes, Belgium Waffles, etc... (clever, right?)
Does anyone have any fun ideas?
This is what I have so far - each day of the week is split into the continents. (South and North America are combined to give Saturday and Sunday Antarctica since we have limited staff on those days)
So Monday is Europe and the theme is Royalty - Treat is Breakfast
Tuesday is Americas and the theme is Freedom - Treat in Apple Pie
Wednesday is Asia and the theme is Fortune - Treat is Fortune Cookies
Thursday is Africa and the theme is Safari - Treat is Animal Crackers
Friday is Australia and theme is Upside Down - Treat is cupcakes (green and gold)
Saturday/Sunday is Antarctica and the theme is Cold. - Treat is Iced Drinks?
So I need game ideas or if anyone can suggest anything better for Australia?
Tim Tams served with tea are an Aussie dessert must! And easily found in groceries in the US now. I personally loved having Anzac cookies with tea while in Oz, but I think it'll be more difficult to find those cookies.
Oh-and one more food item for Australia... Fairy Bread! I know I've been able to find the sprinkles for this bread, but maybe it's a bit of a hassle. And a little messy too
For Asia there are a lot of other options. Japanese snacks could be fun and not too difficult to access. You could do an array of mochi (Do you drive by Arlington Heights to go to work? If so, a stop at Mitsuwa would give you a lot of choices! I love that place) and serve them with green tea to keep to a tea and snack theme, if you want. An array of Pocky sticks might also be fun and easy to do...
