After a breather for FA cup games, European fixtures & pie - eating scandals we’re back on course for premier league action & GW 26.
GW25 saw Chelski drop points away to Burnley allowing Citeh to close in on them after seeing off the Cherries.
Spurs’ impressive run came to an end as Liverpool came away victors thanks to 2 goals in 2 minutes from Mane & Arsenal retain their iron grip on 4th, beating the Tigers to snag all 3 points.
Normal service was resumed at Sunderland who conceded 2 either side of the break to Southampton & Palace…well…Palaced
Swansea continue their ascendence, trading placed with Leicester who seemingly can’t buy a goal this year & 'Boro played out a yawnfest of a draw with Everton.
Watford’s mini streak was curtailed with a defeat to Manc Untidy, as JoMo’s troops continue their unbeaten run.
Speaking of unbeaten runs…. the FPL saw the EIB go 312 ahead overall with a 79 point victory over the BB&S in the classic league
The Yellow Jersey finds a new home with wilgy ’s Faith Rovers who also shared the Big Shout Out with paulwUK ’s Satan Orient & laperouse ’s Laperouse 3.0 as all three notched up 73 points each.
The BB&S took a 7 point win in the H2H but the EIB still hold off the IGM by 14 points overall.
Despite conceding the jersey, Nikolas Vitus Lagartija ’s Damage Dunfermline are not giving up the crown as easily though.
I’ve almost finished clearing all the Pot Noodle tubs, empty beer cans & an incredible amount of fluff from the shed after a couple of weeks of FA cup & Champs League on the big screen so the place is looking good for the weekend’s matches. Which is more than be said for many teams no doubt, as we have 2 postponements to make way for the League Cup final. Time for a wild card?
We shall see. So here it is, please secure your seat tables & fasten your seat belts.Your GW26 thread is open.
Cocktails anyone?
