It's the end of the world as we know it

We have absolutely no idea how the majority of the American people voted.  It's been rigged before.  We've been lied to before.  They've admitted it.  We have no idea who got the majority vote.  All we know is that he got in.  We don't know how.

That's avery appropriate thread name.

Cheer up, my American friends. It will finally not be so bad as it looks like right now. You will find the way again. You have done before.

So... I must apologize for 'mindless majority' and hereby I'm saying this.

At least we all have to accept this election and it is not the end of the world Of course we like our American friends  

We also have a large amount of stupid people here. It happens everywhere.

I don't think we can know if Sanders would've beaten Trump, but I do think the conversation and the race would have been radically different. I fully supported Clinton because she won the primary, but I voted for Sanders during the primary. This would've been a race by 2 people challenging the establishment, which I think would've been a harder choice for people in middle America. Now, let me be clear, I am not a democrat. But that's where my votes went. I did not like either third party candidate.

I don't think people will come out of these years thinking they should've voted for someone they disliked because that person is more qualified. This is not just about the US. Brexit and other trends across the world show an increasing number of people supporting conservative and nationalist positions because of insecurities about the global economy and increasing migration. There are so many issues at stake, but we sadly have leaders who are failing to connect the dots and over simplify in order to find some simplistic answer to complicated questions. Blergh. I do not mean to rant. Just a couple thoughts- I was holding my tongue because I didn't want to get off thread so much, but now there's this dedicated thread.... Dangerous. You all don't know how verbose I can be. Ok. Enough from me.
