I won’t go into too much detail on GW3 primarily as I forgot most of the highlights
But we’ve since had a chance to sit & sweat as our super-stars ventured out on international duty prompting most FPL managers to hold off transfers until they know they’re not getting in an army of walking wounded.
In other news (part 1), the transfer window has finally slammed shut & PL managers have announced their final squads for the season.
Biggest surprise was Jose including Schweinsteiger in his 25 man squad, but don’t expect to see him start many/ any games, which is also good news for him as his missus will also have some spare time on her hands this season. Ideal opportunity then to do some decorating & a spot of gardening for them.
Aguero’s “alleged” elbowing of Winston Reid means he’s also able to take a bit of time out to paint his garden fence & fix that wobbly kitchen cupboard door.
Another lesson we learnt in the past fortnight is that our home-grown top flight players are, in fact, largely hopeless & that Wayne Ruggy can’t quite decide where on the pitch he should stand stock-still. Pretty sure Mourinho will tell him though, even if Allardyce can’t.
But perhaps the biggest news, & I recommend you get your fainting couches ready for this , referee’s are routinely told to tell fibs. Unpossible!
Ahem…..that being said, in other news (part 2) The BB&S took the GW by 26 points from EIB, with IGM a further 20 behind.
The yellow jersey remains with Johnny Rev 7.0 .’s FC Bennweg-Zeis 1921, while the Big Shout Out went Greece-wards to iesus ’ Meteora Heartland FC with a solid 62 points
It was a similar story in the H2H league where the crown was passed The Roker Roar.
The current standings are as follows
So, over in shed-land (a bit like pound-land but with more Old Holborn tins full of screws & nails…oh..& spiders) we’ve beenpulling random names out of a bag making fact-based decisions on strategic transfers & gearing up for the biggest match of the season so far, between Burnley & Hull (‘mon the Tiggers!)
I’m also on the phone to Greg Clarke in the hope we can snag the countdown clock from St George’s Park to replace the timer on the microwave after u2lemonman broke it trying to defrost the last of the pies.
So, that just leaves me to welcome you all to the Stadium Of Faith this weekend & your GW4 thread & to make things even more interesting both The Sisters & The Cure are playing this weekend…..not each other that is…
Good luck everbuddy.
