Well, the rest of 1998 was completely awful & I have read a couple of short reviews on this one in the past that hinted at them being back to their best. All other 98 shows I have, I have almost by accident & not by intent. It's a shame, as they are good recordings. Just really terrible performances
1998 performances are really the worst ever, I have to agree on that. If you watch any of the shows, Nimes e.g., you'll see why... and it was all because of robert. Just watch A Forest. He even goes to Simon and makes him stop playing! I think the only ones they didn't play that badly were A Coruña and Dresden (maybe Brno as well) As for the October show, I wouldn't count on that one. It's in the list of the never-taped shows if you know the story.

There is a DAT recording (allegedly) but other than that I have no other details.
Very unlikely... I mean, there are Cure shows with thousands of attendees and still some of them remain untaped or for "ultramegarare trades only", and this one didn't even have proper Cure fans so... but keeping the faith is free, so why not?

Very true & it's possible this alleged DAT doesn't exist. Had to ask anyway, just in case it was lurking about in someone's drawer or cupboard somewhere
you should give the dresden show another chance, its quite good really
That's a very good show and I was happy to crap it on dime. I was there also and I saw the Bizarre Festival Show days later on TV. Dresden was a nice Show. The Bizarre one was like the name says "bizarre". Kind of strange. I was shocked at this time. Never saw them so bored and powerless.
