I have a bunch of the 80's Lego space pieces. Does any body know of a way to get old instruction manuals so I could reassemble some of them?
I also, currently collect eh Lego Architecture series.
As a newbie in the Lego world who has totally fallen in love with bricks recently, I've gone at Architecture series at once. I liked them so much at pictures, they looked so beautifully and elegant. And I was very surprised after putting little Venice together that in reality they turned out to be disappointing. It's like a schematic drawing, so unreal, it doesn't even look nice. At the same time the buildings from Creator series make part of a fantastic Lego world, have their character. They're absolutely lovely, I forget about the whole world while building I can't wait for some windfall because my list is very long...
I guess I won't buy any other set from Architecture but I'd like to ask you anyway, have you built any larger sets as Capitol or Palace Buckhingham and what were your impressions?
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
I mistook stars reflected in a pond at night for those in the sky.

Both Buckingham Palace and the Capitol are my list to acquire soon. I too have assembled the Venice, and also London and New York City skylines. They are not bad, I agree Venice was the most disappointing of the 3. I do prefer the larger individual buildings. I have assembled Falling Water, Big Ben and the Leaning Tower of Pisa, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed. They seem to have a much more accurate scale, and appropriate level of detail.
I don't own any Architecture set. They look nice, and the boxes are fancy, but for me, Lego has been always about the minigure scale. I know that you can work at any scale with Lego bricks, but for some reason, I have had always the impression that the 'right' scale is the minifig one.
