Not exactly. They released the Phone Booth under Lego Ideas. Lego Ideas is a branch of Lego where fans can submit their own designs. If they reach 10.000 supporters within a year, Lego will consider it's release. The Doctor Who set made the cut and was released this year. It's going to be retired soon.

You (or any other) would have to design (with bricks or digital) a set and submit it to the Ideas site. You can't request anything to Lego.

So far, if my memory is correct, the only set of a real band Lego has ever produced is The Beatles one.

Thanks to gongoro73 I have a new hobby... This was a set I got my partner as a joke, but I had to assemble it because we discovered he gets terrible carpal tunnel from assembling tiny pieces of plastic. Had to laugh when I saw this set at the toy store (we renamed the set).
