A newborn micro pig was stolen from a farm after a woman poured water on its mother before fleeing the scene in a waiting car, police said.
Cleveland Police said the woman snatched the four-day-old black piglet and a guinea pig from Newham Grange Country Farm in Middlesbrough, at around 4.15pm on Saturday March 16. File picture of a micro pig. Credit: PA Wire
The force added that the woman, who was accompanied by another woman, a man wearing a blue tracksuit, a small blonde child and a baby, then fled the farm in a silver T Reg Ford Focus Zetec.
Mark Saunders fromNewham Grange Leisure Farm said: “We are concerned that the piglet won’tsurvive as it has been taken away from its mother and needs to be with her."
