Hi all. Very excited fan coming to Syndey to see the show on 25/7. I will be staying in or around the cbd. I am hoping a Sydney local may be able to help explain to me the best and easiest way to get to and from Olympic Park. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'll be going but I myself haven't yet worked out how I am going to get there. Parking is a nightmare there so I won't be driving, that's for sure. I'll speak with my peeps and see what's what. I'll let you know.
I am hoping there will be some sort of bus service out to the park. That's always been the easiest way to get out there for events.

Hiya rohan6, I have never been to Qudos Bank Arena but I will need to find out soon how to get there and when I do I shall let you know . The best bet is to stay near to Central Station as if there is a train out to the arena it will be from there.
This is not the right place to put this but as the boys so infrequently visit Aus it would be so wonderful if they could play 2 shows in each city. Please, please, please.
Thanks marblegirl, that seems like good advice in regards to where to stay. I had been wondering what part of town would be best to stay, so as long as it is close to Central Station I should be right. And please, let me know when you have worked out how to get to the arena. Thanks again.

I have been thinking about how to easily get to Olympic Park and the arena specifically. I'm not a Sydney local but spent a lot of time there throughout the years and have gone to a festival that was hosted at Olympic Park. From memory there was a special service that day direct to Olympic Park. However if there is no direct train I think the easiest option is to travel by train from Central Station to Lidcombe and then there is a train every 10 minutes to Olympic Park (once at Olympic Park you just need to walk to the arena . I hope this helps! This website may help also www.sydneytrains.info/
rohan6 In regards to where to say you are completely correct anywhere close to Central Station is great! The last couple of times I've been to Sydney I have stayed in the city close to Central Station. George Street is a main street so it may be handy to stay near there if you can't get anything super close to the train station.
Where are you travelling from? I really hope you enjoy it. I can't believe it's less than 3 weeks away
Awesome violetsometimes, thanks for the information. There are hotels very near Olympic Park which could be handy and the following link is a trip planner. Good luck .
Thanks guys, all very helpful advice. I have found a hotel only a ten minute walk to central station. I am sure I will be able to work out how to get the right train.
I am travelling from Tasmania. And yes, only twenty sleeps until the big night. I am very excited.
Thanks again. And if anyone is going to be catching a train from the cbd that night please let me know.
