Like with Star Wars I haven't read the comics so, for me, it doesn't really matter where the director/ show runner takes it story wise. As long as I enjoy it, that works for me. I'm simple like that.
There have been some really lousy story lines in recent seasons, but this season is one I thought was one of the better efforts.
