The Cure kicked off their latest US tour in New Orleans on Tuesday night. Leading up to the jaunt, the band had promised “37 years of Cure songs, mixing hits, rarities, favourites, and as yet unreleased tracks,” and they certainly delivered as much in the Big Easy.
Robert Smith and co. performed a 28 song set that included the first performance of Kiss Me track “All I Want” in 30 years. They also dusted off “A Letter to Elise” and “At Night” after several years, in addition to a rare appearance of “Burn” off The Crow soundtrack.
Most notably, however, were the debut of two new songs: “Step Into the Light” and “It Can Never Be the Same”.
