I still haven't recovered... all this is surreal, it's like they listened to all our forbidden dreams and put them all together in 2 killer setlists! How can I cope with it when even Craig gets emotional?!? Waiting for November without freaking out just got 100x harder.
On the other hand, tonight made me understand that I can't do this every single time, especially when there's no gap between the shows This morning I could barely keep my eyes open, and I've got classes from 9 to 5... I've tried to follow just the first part of the report and then go to sleep, but EVERY TIME as soon as I try to shut the pc down they pull out something like This Twilight Garden, and.... well... how could I ever sleep after This Twilight Garden?! So what I'm going to do is, follow the reports only during the weekend until June, when my classes will be over (I've got an important blood test on Thursday, and I don't want the doctors to think I'm a desperate case )
'Disintegration' -the song- is one of my all time favourites, but, honestly, I think the should stop playing it. Everything in this glorious song is about Robert's crescendo and nuances, and, since many years ago, he's not capable of performing it the way it should be sung. It really sounds wrong to my ears when I hear him singing it nowadays. It sounds tired, and lack of the angryness it should have. And it's a pitty because it does not do justice to the song, so I can't see the point of keeping playing it. I guess this is not going to be a very popular statement but this is how I feel about it.
Songs should be played, no matter what? What do you think?
My favourite Cure song, possibly my favourite song ...... but, it's always the same, keyboard dominant, turn it down and turn the bass up!! At least it wasn't played like a sprint this time, like they wanted to finish as soon as possible .............
