This was most emotional reading of live report for me ever... What a change of direction... Now I can't exclude anything for upcoming shows... I am sure that they will dig deep into Join the Dots more during the tour. This is absolutely lashing with best music repertoire you can find among humans! Fire with all weapons! And it will last!
An impression of sound Then everything is gone Forever
I luv how the set lists are changing. Kind of brings back the good old pre-internet days where concerts were a surprise a lot of the time. I'm old school. For instance, in the next week I'm going to see the Who & the Cure. With the Who, I pretty much know what I'm going to get already. Once in awhile they throw in a curveball but its pretty rare. That's alright as it is Pete Townshend & how many more chances am I going to get to see him. With the Cure though, I have no idea what I'm going to get at the Vegas show. As I've never seen them, the mystery adds to the already huge excitement.
Oh.My.God. I can not believe they played This Twilight Garden! That was absolutely beautiful!! One of my favourite songs! I'd've given anything to be there last night!!! I couldnt be here last night either cause of work, and Im very excited to read every little word you guys wrote last night (or should I say this morning? Grin). Thank you so much for keeping us all updated with whats happening on (and off) stage! Love you all.
What a band! What a Show! This Twilight Garden. Same deep water as you. Last dance. Charlotte Sometimes! Be still my poor heart! After all this... it can never be the same.
'Disintegration' -the song- is one of my all time favourites, but, honestly, I think the should stop playing it. Everything in this glorious song is about Robert's crescendo and nuances, and, since many years ago, he's not capable of performing it the way it should be sung. It really sounds wrong to my ears when I hear him singing it nowadays. It sounds tired, and lack of the angryness it should have. And it's a pitty because it does not do justice to the song, so I can't see the point of keeping playing it. I guess this is not going to be a very popular statement but this is how I feel about it.
Songs should be played, no matter what? What do you think?

"Disintegration" is 1 of my favorite Cure songs, also. Having never seen the band, I would really like to hear it live when I see them next week. I get what you are saying but songs evolve over time. Personally, I'm a big Reeves Gabrels fan & I would like to see what he brings to it in person. I can honestly say that I will be a little disappointed if they don't play it but not too much. They have such a wealth of material to work with. I'm just happy to be able to finally see the band. Is a long story but there has been some sort of cosmic conspiracy that has kept me from seeing the band for the last 25+ years. The Cure are the 1 band that is still viable that I haven't seen & need to. Is a good thing its happening now. Due to some issues its becoming increasingly difficult for me to go to shows. Looks like i'm going out with a bang this summer if it comes to the point where I can't do it. Anyway, I hope they play "D" in Vegas but I respect your opinion.

I understand, If you have never seen them live, it's a must. I saw them in 1989 and 'Disintegration' was a cosmic experience. Mind blowing. Last time I saw them, in 2008, they played it and it was like.. hummmmmm.
