Hi folks,
Just wanted to introduce myself as a new member of this online forum. I am a long time fan of the Cure, and distinctly remember the first time I heard a Cure song - Lovesong when I was 11 years old...I was completely entranced by that voice and music during an era when I was mostly listening to hair metal (eh, it was the 80s and I live in the Midwest).
Anyways, excited to have a place to share an obsession, especially because this year will be the first time I will actually see the Cure live. Long overdue, but I stopped going to arena shows after high school, and it's only the Cure that could entice me to go to a venue with five to ten thousand other people, hahaha. And because I've been in grad school for freaking forever, I missed when they were doing smaller shows for their Reflection Tour (so sad about missing those).
Perhaps I will run into one or two of the forum members in person since I plan on going to 7-8 shows this summer (like I said, I'm making up for lost time!).
