Going to see the Bowie exhibit in Brooklyn with hairqween and pussycat next month. Can't wait!
I hear it's great. We wanted to go last weekend but duh (on us), tickets were sold out, of course. We'll go some time in the next month or two after the opening rush has died down, I guess. Can't wait! Save
Went to the David Bowie exhibit at The Brooklyn Museum yesterday with friends. It was excellent. My favorite parts were his outfits of course but my most favorite parts were the countless handwritten lyrics, letters, music and cards. I love looking at people's handwriting. I believe THAT is the window to our souls. No photos were allowed at all in the exhibit so sadly I have none from inside only outside the exhibit. (and they were serious about it.)

I went to Bowie photography exhibition a couple of weeks - they had 2 beautiful big prints signed shortly before he died. I was told very firmly that I was not allowed to buy one

(She's probably right - they were £4000 each!)
The big orange one? No but I ordered it when I got home. I didn't want to lug it around.it's huge.

Lovely to see *you* even if you couldn't get pics of the exhibit! You had a beautiful day for it. Did you pop over to the Botanic Garden afterwards?
I need to get off my a$$ and pick a date for which to reserve tickets. Glad you enjoyed it! Save

No we were on a tight schedule because my friend Kristina lives in Syracuse and it was a loooong drive back for her. Thank you! We got the lightning bolt ticket so we got right in. No wait.

So, it's like the Disney World "skip the line" thing I keep hearing about? Don't you believe suffering builds character? Save

Haha not when you have the knee of a 90 year old and the patience of a gnat.

It's a beautiful thing and has photo's of everything in it If the Floyd exhibition tours there is a similar book for that.
I didn't know about this subway installation until chuckrh gave me a heads up. Once a week, I have to go through that station, so today I stopped to take some pictures. There were *tons* of people quietly and intently taking pictures, which made me happy. Clearly, people still miss DB so much.
Here are a few that came out OK. It was hard to capture some of the images due to space constrictions.
Crud, looks like hosting is truncating some of the images. Not sure it will turn out that way in the post, we'll see...
