We all ready for GW21 then?
We all breathed a huge sigh of relief as the mad fixture schedule came to a close last week & then proceeded to chomp hard on our collective finger nails & the realisation that our snowflakes would be having lumps kicked off them in an assortment of muddy fields up & down the land, as the FA cup 3rd round took place just a couple of days before GW21 kicks off.
But, not wanting to get all Sam (it’s Klopp’s fault) Allardyce about it, we must march on & hope that there are some uninjured players left to pick teams from by the deadline on Tuesday
On top of all that, were are a week or so into the transfer window & poised to keep a beady eye on any newbies as & when they arrive.
So what will GW21 bring then?
Will Manchester United wake up & smell the coffee? Will Sturridge ever be able to play footy again without fear of his leg dropping off? & will Aston Villa convince their fans that they do indeed know what they’re doing?
A glance back at the FPL, is a happy one for EIB at least.
Coming from a 172 point shortfall in GW6, the EIB have (in slightly less than 57 weeks) managed to turn the tide & with a 59 point victory, have taken an overall lead of 29 points.
In the H2H league, the EIB continue to hold a 28 point lead over the IGM & so both the Yellow Jersey & the crown are getting comfy with @mort’s Nobby Nobbs XI.
Can the EIB keep the Faith? Or will the IGM Walk Away with a win this GW?
Back at the shed it’s been a quiet week spent mostly shovelling snow off the pitch at the Stadium of Faith.
But as the team comes back after a well earned rest, the empty beer cans are piling up in the bike shed & pizza boxes are filling up the recycling bin. Hey, if it works for Leicester, it’s worth a shot
So welcome to your GW21 thread. Wrap up warm everyone. Forecast says snow’s on the way (again).
Let’s play ball
