We have a little present for our Members! In recent years, Forever has become a welcome rarity at any The Cure show.
Originally starting out life as a wig out, extension of Three, Forever has taken on numerous personas in the same vein as Doctor Who & his re-generations. Never the same from one night to the other, it continues to hypnotise & enrapture audiences holding out for what is oft considered to be the holy grail of live performances.
So, in the run up the the end of the year, we thought 2015 needed a fitting send off.
Pipperoo has curated a playlist of 19 of the best performances over The Cure’s career & here it is.
2015 has seen a lot of awful things & a lot of awesome things.
But we have overcome them & we will do.
(ps If you are all really good perhaps an All Mine Playlist next?)
Have a Wonderful Holiday Season and Happy Cure Dreams as We Look to 2016 and The Cure Tour and Meeting Up with Good Friends Who Share Many Things but One Really Big Thing and That is our Undying Love For This Great Band!
No download, No Worries, just sit back, relax and enjoy!
The Cure Forever and Ever and Ever and Ever..........
How groovy of you! Although, I found it a little after the New Year, it's still there and I'm listening and enjoying right this very moment! Thank you, Pipperoo!!
This is the elephant in the room. Yes I would like to hear more "Faith" & "Pornography" this tour but wouldn't we luv to hear "Forever" most of all? I just got the deluxe "Faith" cd & when listening to "Forever" I was struck by how great it would sound with the current lineup. Can you imagine Robert & Reeves going toe to toe on a certified guitar freak out? I can & I want to hear it now!
Towards the The Top tour, especially in the US, Robert used to play and sing something before Forever. Please, follow this link: and listen. He started this particular tune and lyrics in Melbourne 10-10-84, then through Tokyo 17-10-84 and completely now after San Francisco 24-10-84 and Austin 02-11 until New York 17-11-84.
The question is: is he singing someone else's song (one that I don't know of) or what?
Have a listen, please. Maybe you know and can tell me.
