Well, that was exciting in testing out my mobile app for ticket purchases.
I got in on the presale at exactly 10 am, and the bots had already bought up all the amphitheater seats. But I got two $25 tickets on the lawn, so my wife and I will be attending two shows in a row, a Miami double feature!
Well done. I wonder how The Cure feel about the bots though?
Well I thought about that when reading their News page that they were adding a second day due to the first Miami show "selling out". I don't think it did sell out, though. I think that a bunch of speculators bought up all the tickets to resell.
How else could they have so many $45 "grass" resell tickets the day after they all sold for the original $25? Someone bought them all up with no intention of attending!
It's speculation at its worst, and they must be using illegal software as the legit ticketmaster and live nation software has a bunch of slow security hurdles that you have to clear to buy one set of tickets. Some automated software was buying the whole amphitheater at once.
Oh well, time to invest in some foldable lawn furniture.

Declare yourself German, get to Miami now and leave a beach towel in your favoured position. It will still be there next year, saving you a prime viewing position.

Yea the first Miami show I could only get lawn tickets but the second show I was lucky enough to get halfway closer to the stage, section 4 seats 1 and 2, kind of between Robert and Simon : D The amphitheater is smaller than I thought it would be.
