Does anyone have any tips for when people should start lining up for general admission? I've never been to the UIC pavilion before...
Am debating whether to buy a seat or general admission for this show, but since it is highly likely I will be flying solo, not sure waiting in a lineup for hours by myself will be much fun?
Tell you what, I'm sure if you fire up a meetup thread here, you won't be solo for long. There's a handful going from here & I am pretty sure they'll be heading for a watering hole prior to the gig
The venue says they have one door for general admission, and one door for seated tickets. The general admission line is on the Congress side of the building. FYI
Hey guys, anyone know the parking situation at UIC? Do I have to use the indoor parking lot or is there outdoor too? How is it on concert days?
Hi & welcome There is some stuff on their site about parking
But they have sent out a warning to attendees regarding construction work going on & possible congestion.
HEAVY TRAFFIC AROUND THE UIC PAVILION JUNE 10th & 11th!
STREET CONSTRUCTION Expect additional traffic delays due to construction on Harrison Street.
ARRIVE EARLY Doors will open at least one hour prior to show time.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION CTA Train - take the Blue Line train to the Racine Avenue stop, which is about a half a block from the UIC Pavilion. CTA Buses - take the 7, 8, 60, or 120 bus routes to Harrison Street and Racine Avenue.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS From the West - Take I-290 East and exit at Ashland, follow Congress to the parking ramp just east of the UIC Pavilion. From the North - Take I-94 to the Adams Street exit. Turn South on Halsted Street to Harrison Street. Turn West on Harrison and follow traffic directions to parking. From the South and Southwest - Take I-94 to the Roosevelt and turn West on Roosevelt Road to Racine Avenue. Head north on Racine Avenue and follow traffic control personnel direction to parking.
PARKING All parking will be forced in specific directions depending on lane in which cars are exiting. Please follow the flow of traffic and continue to your destination after you have cleared the immediate area.
My advice would be to check with the venue if you can just to make sure. If you follow them on their social media feeds, they will post traffic updates.
