Sometimes I boil them but have them on toast because my poached egg technique is a bit hit and miss!
I use silicone pods for poached eggs, they work really well. Just have to make sure the water is boiling before you put the pods in and pop a lid on the pot. They work every time

Just looking around for boiled egg related gizmos (as you to) & discovered there are tools to open the things
This looks amazing! But would take out all the fun of smashing hell out of the top of the egg, scooping it off with a spoon, only to realise it's not boiled enough, and full of snot. I can think of another use for it though, so off to peruse Amazon...
