Didn't the original tank at the box office too?

Controversial position, but I liked this film better than the first. I was much more invested in K than Deckard. Many more thoughts, but don't want to give anything away.

Yep!

....but there were more classics released during Summer '82 than we're likely to get over the next 5 years - which will be wall to wall Disney multiplex fodder every summer.
I like some of those films but they have gone way past saturation point now and there aren't enough interesting alternatives making it to the big screen.

I don’t think I’m giving anything away to say Jared Leto’s character was the one thing I would have changed in the film (although his acting was fine). Drives me nuts when a character speaks and 90% of it is inane. His dialogue could’ve been much tighter while still conveying the purpose of his character within the plot, imho.

And holy moly, Gosling can act.
