I've realised my recordings of S.Z. and C.H. are identical so one of them (very likely the S.Z. labelled one) is mislabelled. Anyone have the S.Z. version of that show?
If it has the very last seconds of Return cut off it's the C.H. version.

Need to check. I have the 2 LA shows that JLW put on dime. Both the same taper, but no name on the details.

Those (incomplete) recordings uploaded by Jared are neither S.Z. or C.H. Masters

NOTES: The 2nd night in LA comes from the same guy who taped the first. For some reason he fit Killing An Arab onto disc 1...I guess to optimize CDR space. This is the show where Wayne Hussey plays guitar on 'A Forest' and 'Forever' as Robert left a few minutes early. Also, the first two songs done by Robert on acoustic guitar appear to be from a different source he obtained. ---> This is kind of a strange version and I do not believe it is one of the versions noted on www.cure-concerts.de/concerts/1996-08-11.php. Just weeks after the show I made contact with a guy who actually went out to an audio shop and rented a portable DAT recorder and mics just to record the SoCal shows. If memory serves, he later went into a studio to transfer the recordings and burn CDRs (which had just started coming out at that time). I got the shows on those very early gold-colored discs which probably cost him $10 apiece just to buy the blanks. As with the technology of the time, I think these were burned TAO and he ended up fading and overlapping the audio inbetween tracks. As for the quality...I think they are some of the best sounding Swing Tour shows out there. I just dug them out of the box and gave them a listen so I believe this is the first time they will be in circulation. I can't remember if he was selling them or what...I traded for them.
