The sun sets on another game week & plenty of controversy & cock ups (&, no doubt, pending FA retrospective punishments) from the weekend action.
Neil Swarbrick managed to send off the wrong player, prompting calls for more use of technology. Although, there are rumours that the referee’s association are just trying to blag iWatches to check on Twitter to decide & to watch cat videos during late substitutions. Stevie Gerrard did his damnedest to get a world’s fastest red card before he toddles off to the States & the flurry of cards this weekend has prompted many companies to bid for the advertising space. Vodafone currently leading the bidding for the red cards, with the AA seemingly preparing to swoop for the yellow ones. In another disturbing turn up this weekend, more injuries than you can shake a shin guard at. National team coaches all over the planet are tearing up their team sheets & starting again, although in many cases, that is probably a good thing………Andros Townsend *cough cough*.
But with all the thrills & spills out of the way, it’s time to pull back the curtain on the scores on the doors. After a close away win last week, The Eleven Imaginary Boys’ confidence was boosted, but despite a 60 point surge on Sunday, they finally succumbed to The Industrial Groove Machine.
The final results: The Cure 759 - 806 The Sisters This gives a +47 point differential to The Sisters & an overall lead of +427
It’s getting closer at the top, but Johnny Rev 7.0 clings on tightly to that Yellow Jersey
Another two way this week with Mav787’s Spiritwalkers & iesus’ Meteora Heartland FC both sneaking it by a point with 98 a piece.
& now we have a break while our band of merry snowflakes all go & get lumps kicked off them on international duty (well, those that survived the weekend anyway).
Thanks again for dropping in & sharing pastries. Pleasure as always. & congrats to the winners.
Now I have to get that condensed milk off the pitch before the environmental health people turn up. This could be tough (I said it) as it’s all hard & the grass is now all matted. Here goes……
