Feeling a bit beat up. We're getting our place ready to sell it and yesterday our ceiling started raining because of a leak in our upstairs neighbor's apartment. We're already in the middle of consulting with an attorney b/c this happened two months ago in another room and he refuses to respond to us about whether it's been fixed. Our elevator has also been out of service for a week and the basement is covered in hydraulic fluid from the elevator machine room so nothing down there is accessible to us. I hate living in apartment buildings.
Oh, wait! It's raining again in the kitchen and I'm cooking.

Hope you get this sorted. Can you claim on insurance or something to repair it on your side? Mind you, that's a waste of time if the neighbour hasn't repaired it their side
I was out for the count for a few days, but now I’m back to feeling like myself! I’m sorry you experience migraines as well, they’re truly awful. I use a prescription called almotriptan, but this time around they didn’t work! At least now tho I feel pretty grrrreat !
I use Sumatriptan Fortunately, it always helps me
It’s great that you found something that works for you! Migraines are a dreadful thing that I wouldn’t wish upon anyone.

Let’s hope you find a better living situation pronto. It’s total BS that your block Manager can’t do anything to correct the situation tho!

Thanks, but there is no manager. It's a "self-managed" building, which basically means a couple of units in the building take care of everyone else's crap and nothing ever gets done.

Thanks, and yes, we can claim insurance but it's not like we can force access to his apartment to fix the problem without the Board invoking special power. So, we can't paint our place or list it on the market until all this is done.

ETA: Already popped the migraine cocktail.
No other way of putting it apart from ‘that’s Shirtty’
Feel like I wouldn't be surprised if I looked outside and pigs were flying through the air. Was hesitant to go to sleep last night, feeling like if I stayed up, somehow I could ensure the world would look at least somewhat the same in the morning.
Watching three cities that figure importantly in my life in upheaval, my current home- NYC, the place I grew up- DC, and the place my mom and sister live- Minneapolis/St. Paul.
Curfew three hours earlier for us tonight and no dessert after dinner. Lots of helicopters in the sky later in the day around here. I hate the helicopters because they remind me of 1984. Have to wonder if and when we'll have tanks in our streets...
Burnt my back to a crisp and now I’m Suffering the consequences of not putting on enough sunscreen/covering up sufficiently. . Yes it’s MOFF, but whoa, I feel so I’ll. Ugh.
