I just use the built in Windows Security plus MalwareBytes and SpyBot. I have never had a problem. MalwareBytes and SpyBot both have free editions but I paid the extra for automatic updating and scans. Both have rave reviews, MalwareBytes is recommended by everybody. The Windows Security now rivals all the main security providers and is completely free.
 SpyBot is an AntiVirus/AntiSpyware product. MalwareBytes protects from Malware.
