Here I can't hear The Cure live from Australia, and this guy is leaving the Riot Fest and notes with irritation that The Cure is still playing!
The comments thread attached to his story was a bit of a comfort, but really.
Also note that one of the pictures from his story seems to indicate that he could freely go beyond the front row barrier as a vaunted "member of the press". That's just...

I never noticed those until you mentioned them. They are superb.
VICE does more trolling than reviewing these days. Link baiting, etc.
Don't bother giving Noisey clicks. They're 100% troll, 100% of the time.
Maybe next time you could write a review of 'Top Gun' by telling all about how much you loathe Tom Cruise, then watch the first ten minutes of the film in a moving port-a-potty. Then you could turn on 'Beaches' and go on for six pages about your love for Bette Midler, but focus on how mystified you are that she somehow looks older now. You could title the review, "Fighter Pilot movies are the Worst!"
At least you went into this with the right attitude. Please write more about yourself next time....that is the sign of a great reviewer and is really interesting. Can you share your vacation photos too?
I stopped reading when he said "I thought they were playing the same song again", I really don't understand people who say every Cure song or album sounds the same. He had already pointed out The Cure had the largest crowd he'd seen at a festival so clearly they are still a bit popular ... .. .

to tell you the truth, this sort of thing happens from reviewers to the man on the street, it's just that it has less of a voice if it's not on someone's blog or whatever..
To be fair, I would bet that a lot of people here would think (for example) that all Metallica or Public Enemy songs "all sound the same" and to their ears, without sitting down and trying to understand the music, yeah they probably do "all sound the same" meaning that there's a style or sound there that is recognisable but they've not spent enough time learning the nuances of each song to identify them...
It's funny, all this dick is doing, is two things 1) fuelling those that have his same mindset and 2) fuelling those of us in the opposite camp that can be bothered talking to him directly or about him in places such as this.
These voices will always be around to anyone who will listen.... he does look like a tool though lol
If you have a lead on Brisbane 21 August 1992 - CT version, for the love of Bob, let me know. Please!
