Fish tank up and cycling - no fish yet, but it's a start!
Hopefully these plants will live, as they were bought online so should definitely be aquatic...am learning the hard way not to believe everything I am told/sold by the people who work in my local aquatics shops
Have already developed tank-envy - I don't have a choice about the fish I can have as they were my dad's, but have seen some fish I would love to have one day - a betta, or flying foxes...trouble is, some of the fish I am getting can live for 30 years so don't think there'll be tank-space any time soon, unless I am so completely inept I kill them all within weeks - no pressure!
Don't talk of worlds that never were
The end is all that's ever true
So relieved they survived the journey - took double the usual time due to the world and his wife deciding to all take their caravans on the M6/M5 today, grr.
I now have 20 fish! Found slightly more than I was expecting to in my dad's second tank today - not entirely sure they are all suited to being together but we shall have to see...
I now have 5 of these brilliant fish - they are MAD! Have had to stop up all the gaps around the tank hood as they can really shift, and jump! They are called Tiger Hillstream Loaches and I love them already
Don't talk of worlds that never were
The end is all that's ever true
Apologies for the shaky camera work and strange scratching/banging noise in the background - Esme chose this moment to use the litter tray - her timing is always impeccable...
Thanks everyone. 3pm today he was put to sleep Can't really describe just how heartbroken I am at the moment. My furry four legged friend of nine or so years has gone to that big packet of Wotsits in the sky
