So it's the funny thing about the bootlegs, right? Many bands are OK with them, but they are just being traded etc. When Apple Music launched, I found the curation interesting, but you know what would be a real differentiator? Bootlegs. That would be mind blowing. I am NEVER in my whole life going to be able to download the material I would love to listen to or to curate it, etc...
where did this appear from? did someone have it in their vault and just now decide to release it??
It's been on the DR (Danish state broadcaster) Bonanza website (basically an archive website for a lot of the inhouse stuff they do) for a while. I happened to get into The Cure for a period last summer, saw it, and realised that there had only been a very poor quality video on YouTube until then, and decided to upload it in the higher quality. I've since found out that someone did upload it, but hadn't given it a name of tag that made it apparent that it was recorded at the Roskilde gig.
The video itself was hosted on another part of the DR website for a period, and various Cure fansites linked to that in the past.
As I mentioned in a reply to a comment on the video, I wouldn't be surprised if DR has the whole gig somewhere in their (offline) video library. I know they have the audio from the 2001 gig, but that is readily available elsewhere on the web, so I haven't bothered uploading it.
