If any of you are lucky enough to listen to this London based radio station.......xfm.co.uk....there was quite a funny item on Sunday morning.
There are two djs/comedians...Elis James and John Robins. Each week they do an item called "Sacred Cow or abattoir" where they pick an artist/band and one is for and the other against aforemention artist. In the past they've had The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd etc etc....but last Sunday they were discussing the merits of The Cure.
I was listening, waiting for the listeners to slate off the boys, but no....99% of those who were bothered to vote...myself included....confirmed that they were legends who deserved to be held in esteem and not be consigned to the abattoir.
One of the djs said how fiercely loyal and protective Cure fans are.
I have this on my internet stations list on my receiver, so I might give them a whirl sometime. Do they have an equivalent of iPlayer like the Beeb have? I had a quick look at the site & didn't see one straight away
I'm not too sure Steve.....but I tend to avoid I-anything as I have a deep loathing of anything Apple. Most shows have Podcasts but it's a case of sifting through them. I listen to XFM all the time on my DAB radio as I can't pick it up on FM radios up here in the wilds.
