I've bumped into a couple of members over the years at various gigs - Cure gigs are always great places to meet interesting people - and its cool to be part of an active online community. First started listening to the band in the 80's when I was living in Gibraltar; getting albums back then was really tough, as there were only 2 record stores in the whole country (one of which also functioned as a jewellers, a clothes shop, a TV repair shop and pretty much anything else he thought he could sell that week), but neither of them were willing to import anything other than mainstream material. I remember waiting weeks and weeks for Cure albums or singles to be shipped via BFPO (British Forces Post Offices) after reading about them in Sounds or NME and only wondering what awaited my ears as the shipment crawled slowly over Europe. Time back then went so slow...
