I just freaked myself out. It seems that since reverting back to safari as a browser, I can stream radio & YT(audio) to my receiver via airplay. It shouldn't do that being as old as it is. Maybe the repair people did something "special" to it
Maybe, but they didn't say anything if they did. I thought it might be a built in feature of safari. I've googled my fingers off trying to find out how I can airplay web content from a 2008 MBP & theoretically I shouldn't be able to. Only models 2010 & younger are supposed to do it. Not complaining mind. It just freaked me out when I pulled my headphones out & suddenly the stereo blasted out audio I was streaming from youchoob

It's not safari. My OH's old laptop couldn't airplay, it's a board-capability. Added bonus, the equivalent of your laptop going in for Botox and coming out with a breast augmentation
Maybe they did some "secret stuff" to make up for messing me about with the courier arrangements. It's really nice to be able to listen to the radio on the stereo now though after the sony/ vtuner debacle

It's always nice having a freebie Or maybe they couldn't get a new graphics card that was compatible with the current logic board & had to replace that too?
