I was wondering if there was anyone here who has had a paranormal experience they want to share. I'm a firm believer that ghosts/spirits exist. I've seen plenty of reports and real evidence that points to their existence... things that really can't be explained except that of a paranormal happening. I've done my own investigations... gone to some locations around here. Took my ghost equipment in hopes of capturing evidence. Sadly, I haven't thus far. I suppose I need to venture to more older locations (England perhaps I wish!!). Anyway, I'm curious to see what you all have to say on the subject and if any of you have had any odd happenings.
I'm not sure if this qualifies as a ghost story but my dad died of Lung Cancer in 1986. He died on a Friday. We brought all of his belongings home from the hospital and one of those things were two helium mylar balloons. The next day my family was sitting around in our living room and the balloons floated into the living room right into the middle of where we were sitting. This doesn't sound unusual but the problem is that those balloons had to float all the way down a hall, turn a corner and go under the beam that connected the dining room to the living room to get where they ended up. This happened three times until finally my mom locked them in a closet. Until this day we cannot explain how those balloons were able to do what they did. My uncle insisted it was my dad's spirit wanting to join the party. My dad was very social. Loved his parties!
It was pretty bizarre.
Also, Last year my BF and I went to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania where allegedly there is major ghost activity. We went twice and did not see anything but we were looking. So It is a subject that interests me.

That is quite an amazing story Pip! Wow!! Very touching too. How else can you explain that?! It had to be him. Like you said he was very sociable and he wanted to make his presence known. Perhaps wanting to let you all know he was okay on the other side too. Just too cool. Thanks so much for sharing!
Oh man I would love to visit Gettysburg! For sure I would get some voices to come through my spirit box or EVPs on my recorder. I really love all the history surrounding that place.
