Seriously?? You need to get shopping, the audio on the blu ray is sublime, I ripped mine to multi channel FLAC and I listen to parts of it most days .......
Well, you can still rip the audio track from that if you're just after the audio Make sure you rip the LPCM track though. But if you have a blu ray player, I would strongly suggest you try returning the DVD & getting the blu ray. It's mind blowing.
I know i've asked this before but, why is the blu ray so much better than the DVD? I get it in terms of picture quality but can the sound really be much better. The DVD is already great on 5.1. And surely the improvement is limited by the audio equipment you pump it through?

Yes it is WAYYYY better. I compared them I have the DVD and when I got my new Smart TV and a Blu Ray player I bought the Blu Ray and it is amazing. I do agree your equipment has a lot to do with it also (I have my stereo hooked up to my TV) but I compared the two using my new equipment, to be fair, and there is a huge difference.
