Glad you enjoyed the gig. The setlist on the tour looks really good (except for Until She Comes). But holy smokes! Mr Jones, Into you like a Train & to wind up with India (which is epic live). Bit green here.
I have never heard a live version of India like last night and I'm not a huge saxophone fan but holy smokes Mars can blow!! Crazy version!!
"Until she comes" is beautiful, one of their masterpieces. Good to see them play songs from their wonderful swansong album "world outside"
Never liked that album for some reason. Nor Book of Days. Both a bit boring really. Love Spit Love did two much better records & I think Butler should do some of that stuff with the Furs
Suprised because "world outside" is very consistently good and "book of days" is their cure inspired Dave Allen produced album. It's "midnight to midnight" which is the only disappointment after their first 4 classic albums. The first love spit love album is top quality, also the Richard Butler solo album.
I'd rate the furs albums...
1 forever now 2 talk talk talk 3 world outside 4 psychedelic furs 5 mirror moves 6 book of days 7 midnight to midnight
There's been talk of a new album for years, like the cure but will it ever happen? Maybe a sisters new album is more likely!
And yes, Mars is totally sax fantastic, he ruled the talk talk talk show I saw.

in all honesty, I do sort of chuckle when we, The Cure fans, moan about not having a new album while I am a massive Sisters fan &...well....you know the rest
But would a new sisters album be any good? Crash n burn is fine but not keen on any of the other "new" songs. Would probably make the vision thing album sound a masterpiece!
Wow!!!!! They only gone and done it, a new album after 29 years beating the cure and sisters to the punch!
The single sounds great too
As for The Sisters, all very mysterious in that camp. Ben has been alluding to being in a studio & they have listed 4 more new songs on their home page.
