The first volume in the Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series of books. Will watch the tv-series later when I've read more volumes. The Finnish translation is excellent and easy to read. As a fan of historical/fantasy novels the setting is perfect for me.
One good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain So hit me with music, hit me with music
OK, I realize how old this makes me. But with a granny who passed away from Alzheimer's, I'm not taking any chances.
I’m sorry that your granny died from this awful disease. My paternal grandmother also died from Alzheimer’s. It was a horrible thing to watch her health decline. At one point she was not longer able to recognize several family members; now how frightening would that be ?
Good on you for doing your research so early and hopefully you’ll able to prevent the same thing from happening to you.

I'm so sorry to hear that, Danielle. I'm sorry we have that in common. It is a horrible, horrible disease and nobody should ever have to go through that.
Despite being (mostly) educated in French, I rarely, if ever, read anything in said language. Before I forget it all for good, I’ve decided to start reading again en French. It’s taking me forever to get though this book, even though I love it to pieces:

That’s quite the undertaking!!
We had to read as part of the curriculum for French class in grade 11, so I definitely remember quite a bit of it.
