i'm happy with almost anything really but wish deluxe sounds very inviting or even mixed up two . pull your finger out bob i'm sick of going into hmv and not buying anything
I can't wait for the Wish deluxe. All the demos we already know show how it could have sounded: a bit more old Cure style...
I am really going to "stir the pot" by saying this, but I want to hear the Wish demos because I do not like Robert's vocals on the finished album. He created an odd chorus effect of vocal layers of high and low.
When you hear him perform the Wish songs live, single voice, they sound so much better.
If it could only be the voice... Listen to Away, then Cut. Listen to Weny time's demo and then the album's version. Listen to The big hand at the T&C2 then studio version. Wish could have been 10 times better than what it finally became. To me, the problem is not what they did after Wish, but what they did after Disintegration.... Anyway, I still hope for unheard things on the Wish deluxe. Also, as anyone can download live songs here and there, I'd rather hear more demos and less live on the deluxe editions, but that's only my point of vew !
I agree, Disintegration was the pinnacle - I have no idea why "Away" was transformed into "Cut", that seems to have been a massive mistake so would be good to read the reasons why, even though The Big Hand may have sounded better at the T and C 2 but, it is still superior to some of the tracks on Wish - saying that, all the songs on Wish do fit, they seem to belong together. A full band demo of Away on a repacked Wish album would be perfect ...
i don´t believe mr smith anymore. ( since 1990 !!)
because at some interviews during the summercure 2012, he mentioned, that a new album is in the tube. as the latam dvd, that will never will make it into the shops. no word of it from tim pope on its homepage since april.
the reflection dvd died, as some other things, fans would love to see or hear.
i imagine, a new album with reeves gabriel would be very good, but will never see a light ;(
